You have a site. You have your marketing materials. You speak to prospects and clients regularly about your products and services. So why does it seem so hard to blog?

For many the idea of having to write continuously seems a little daunting. What are you going to write about? How can you keep it up week after week?

At first glance, it can be a bit scary. Especially if you aren’t a writer. But don’t fall into the trap of turning your blog into a home made site that has no focus. Concentrate on creating something that’s relevant to your readers.

Make it a goal to write two or three times per week, and establish your vision for your site ahead of time. Schedule your writing time into your weekly schedule ahead of time. Come up with your titles, and even write a few bullet points for each title. Sometimes its easier to sit down and come up with eight or ten ideas, and find a way to pull them all together.

Then throw in a bit of fun along the way. People like to read what you’re up to. If your at a conference that has relevance, share. Finding your human side can sometimes turn a prospect into a long term customer.
