Blog Action Day 2008 has just been announced – and I’m excited to be a part of this amazing event.

Thousands of bloggiblog action dayng sites will take place in this unique online event. On October 15th, every blogger registered for the cause will make a blog post about poverty. To be truly unique, the blog post should be targeted towards your audience of readers.

Because this site is all about businesses blogging, I’ll be looking at what aspiring entrepreneurs can do to create business out of blogging.

I’ll also be supporting Kiva that day – an amazing organization in which you can help entrepreneurs in developing countries with a micro loan.

Do you have a blog? Do you want to join this amazing cause yourself? Come join in the fun, and see how blogging can take you to new heights.

There’s always another way to do it.

In this case, it’s receiving RSS feeds from your favorite blogs. Instead of sending thesend me rssm to a feed reader program, why not send them to your email account? You can view your feeds as easily as your email, whether you’re in the office, or out on the road with your Blackberry.

Simply login with your email address, place your favorite feed URL into the system, and you’ll soon get your favorite feeds in the form of an email.

Want to make this feature available to those that follow your blog? Put this handy subscribe widget on your blog, and have them sign up for your blog posts via email instead of RSS.

Just another option for you to manage your blog.

Just found a very fucolorado license platen site that allows you to take your photos, or use some of their own content, and create something magical from them.

So I can select from their license plate templates, choose my state’s license plates, and put whatever I want into the text.  Hmmm… that would be an interesting addition to my car.

Or I can select from one of their many images, type in my contentchief blogger, and easily have a dynamic photo to go along with my article or post. Ahhh… Just the chair I need for my home office.

Head over to ImageChef  and start creating your own fun photos and graphics. It’s a great place to get customized graphics for your online needs.

Daughter, sister, wife, mother, friend, business owner, teacher, mentor – the list could go on and on with different ways to describe one person (in this case, me).

Out online you can’t think of yourself in only one manner. If ymom-bloggers-clubou’re a business person trying to bring in new clients, you can’t think as a business person 24/7. Instead, you have to find your interests, and share with people that have similar interests – and may just be interested in what you do for a living as well.

I ran across a new social site today – Mom Bloggers Club. With just 600 members, it’s a new start that could turn into a full blown networking club for mom’s that are looking for a way at sharing their interests and goals.

Like most social sites, you create a small profile, and then start connecting. You can share your Twitter information, ideas on being a mom, and of course your blog information.

Then start connecting.

I love writing. I’ve written a ton of articles, am a columnist for the Denver Business Journal, and have a couple of books written and published. I guess I just love sharing what I do with as many people as I can.

Thanks to the Internet, there are more options than ever for getting your information out there. books

If you know Mark Victor Hansen (yep, the Chicken Soup for the Soul author) you’ll want to know about his latest creation. Head on over to his newest site YouPublish  and find out how you can quickly get your stories, poetry and even photographs published quickly. In fact, you can publish books, music, photos, study courses, audio, video and presentation files with just a few clicks of your mouse.

His site is still in beta, scheduled to open up sometime here in May, but it may be time to jumpstart your publishing career by signing up now. With Chicken Soup fame behind him, I’m sure this site will become golden in just a few months – why not go along for the ride?

Phoblog about your business imagetographs make blog posts more interesting.

They just add more to the human eye, and make you want to read further.

There are many different sources you can go to online for images. Or take your own and upload them to your files.

But I like finding fun things as well.

How about a newspaper clipping generator? Add your own newspaper name, date, headline and text, and it will instantly generate an image of your newspaper, ready to use in your posts.

Give it a try.

You have a business card to tell people about your business. Why not have a social card to tell people how to find you online?ink mojo

Ink Mojo is a new site in beta that allows you to customize social cards to match up with your favorite social site. Want to advertise your Facebook account? Create a card with your Facebook profile. Want to advertise your blog? Create a card with a WordPress theme and your customized content.

And the pricing is amazing.

They also have something called the Business Trading Card that I have to look into further. An interesting way of putting together a personal social card that lists out several of your online resources. A great tool for tradeshows, expos, or other networking opportunities.
